Custom Furniture

Lets talk about that idea you had for the perfect dining table. Maybe you have seen a piece of furniture that you loved but it just wasn’t the right size or shape. Maybe you know you desparately need a stepstool in the kitchen but haven’t thought about what that would even look like. I can help you with all of these. Its what I’ve been doing in my own house for 20 years. Whether you know exactly what you want, would like to collaborate on the perfect design, or just want to point at a spot in your house and say “ what would look good there? " I would love to talk about it. It could be as big as a bed headboard or as small as a bread shelf. It could be as simple as a back yard bench or as elaborate as a piece of wood inspired wall art. I would love to make it for you.

Here’s how it will go:

  1. Just reach out to me by email and we’ll start the dialogue. No commitments from either of us. I can answer any questions. I will let you know if the project is something my shop is well suited for. I’ll tell you a price range. I’ll give you an approximate time to delivery after commitment.

  2. If you decide to proceed with the project we can get on with the design. You can send me pictures of things you like from the internet. I can send you examples of wood species, stains, edge profiles, etc. If it is convenient I can come and take a look at the space you are looking to put it in and your existing decor. We can take measurements and go over materials, styles, and finishes.

  3. Once we are certain we are on the same page and you are ready to commit to the production I will give you a final price quote based on all the specifics we agreed on. I will collect a down payment ( variable depending on the project) and put you in the waiting list for the shop. Once I actually start on the piece the down payment will become unrefundable.

  4. I will keep in touch as I work on your project. I’ll ask questions if I feel I need clarification. You are welcome to reach out to get updates. I’ll even take pictures and videos of the fabrication process if you like.

  5. When the work is done we will set up a delivery date and I will install it in the room myself. We’ll settle the rest of the payment and I’ll give you any instructions on how to care for and utilize your new custom made piece of furniture.

  6. We get to talking about the next project!

Below are some projects I have done before or think my shop is well suited to. If you don’t see what you were looking for in these examples dont worry, I am willing to take on any project that my shop can accommodate.

—Dining Tables. Any size, shape or base. If you would like a metal pedestal I can source that for you.

—Coffee and End tables. We can match your sofa and chair dimensions for a seamless fit.

—Hall and Sofa Tables. These are great as custom peices because we can fit the table perfectly to your space to allow traffic flow and access.

—Media console or storage sideboard. Sized and styled to perfectly fit your room and possessions. These add great storage solutions.

—Custom Desk or filing cabinet. Great for a students room. Storage, lighting and charging options can be incorporated.

—Cabinet doors. I dont currently do built in projects but I’ve made alot of cabinet doors. If you want to tackle renovating your kitchen cabinets yourself let me handle the doors. All you have to do is refinish the existing carcasses and install the doors I make and finish for you.

—Storage and organizational cabinetry. I made a kitchen island for myself and it doubled the amount of storage in my kitchen while giving us a centerpeice for conversation. Because it will be custom made we can fit a beautiful cabinet onto any wall or space.

—Bar furnishing or wine storage. Want to create a little bar area or add bottle storage to an existing space or cabinet? We can add the beautiful wood, metal, or glass elements to make it something special.

—Dresser or wardrobe. Upgrade your clothes storage. Add a mirror or jewelry display.

—Custom display box or shelving. Have a special memento or award you want to display? Customize a box or shelf to perfectly match and highlight the item. Fit it to just the right spot in your house.

—Childrens furniture. This can get really fun. Size it perfectly. Wood or paint finish. Functional or just silly decoration. Safe rounded corners and little hidden compartments. Kids love something made just for them.

—Pet furnishings. Custom bed or feeding table. Storage or indoor enclosure. Pets are very hard to find the right products for. Get exactly what you want and need while maintaining your decor.
